Bruce Conner (1933 – 2008)

Bruce Conner, one of the leading figures of the ’60s underground film scene, passed away on July 7. He was 74. Ray Pride of Movie City Indie has a ton of info on the filmmaker and his career. Conner was most well-known for his first film A Movie (1958), a collage of found footage. He also directed the music video “Mongoloid” for the art-punk band DEVO.
