Synopsis: Seventeen year-old Jane works at the coolest art-house movie theater in her Midwestern town where she wants to become as hip and worldly as her older co-workers, but she just can’t seem to get it right. Especially when it comes to boys and sex.
In the outrageous opening scene, Jane is de-virginized in a cemetery by a less-than-chivalrous amour. She turns to her co-workers for advice: Dave, the fatherly gay theater manager, Ericka, the rowdy punk rock girl, Matt, the street smart drunken wiseguy, Tom, the intelligent but aimless slacker, Grace, the sarcastic, misunderstood beauty and Ryan, the smile-y face collecting skater dude. They tell their own embarrassing sexual experiences and give her the low-down on how to have an orgasm.
